Finally a kitchen site that actually helps!

I used to guess at conversions all the time and ruin recipes. The Quick Converter on the homepage saved my banana bread last week. I converted 2 cups of flour to grams in seconds. Game changer!

Helped me scale my grandma's recipes

Grandma's recipes always served 20 people. The recipe scaler helped me cut them down to 4 servings perfectly. The spice ratios were spot on too!

Best cooking calculator site I've found

I've tried a dozen cooking conversion sites and this one is by far the most comprehensive. The butter converter alone saved me from a baking disaster. The hero calculator is so convenient!

Perfect for meal prepping

I meal prep every Sunday and the portion calculator is my best friend now. I can scale recipes for exactly 5 servings without any math. Love it!

Kitchen Questions Answered

Cooking Calculator FAQ

Quick answers to the most common cooking questions — from how long to cook chicken to converting cups to grams.

How long do I cook chicken breast?
Bake chicken breast at 375°F (190°C) for 20–30 minutes depending on thickness, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). For a 6 oz breast, plan on about 25 minutes. Use our Cooking Time Calculator for exact times by weight.
How do I convert cups to grams?
Cups to grams varies by ingredient: 1 cup flour = 120g, 1 cup sugar = 200g, 1 cup butter = 227g, 1 cup milk = 240g, 1 cup rice = 185g. Use our free Measurement Converter for any ingredient instantly.
How do I scale a recipe up or down?
Divide the desired servings by the original servings to get a multiplier, then multiply each ingredient by that number. For example, to double a recipe for 4 servings, multiply all ingredients by 2. Our Recipe Scaler does this automatically.
What temperature is 180°C in Fahrenheit?
180°C equals 356°F (approximately Gas Mark 4). This is a moderate baking temperature used for cakes, cookies, and roasted vegetables. Use our Oven Temperature Converter for any conversion.
How much water do I use for pasta?
Use 4 quarts (about 4 liters) of water per pound (450g) of pasta. Add 1–2 tablespoons of salt once the water is boiling. Our Pasta & Rice Ratio Calculator gives exact measurements for any quantity.
What can I substitute for butter in baking?
Common butter substitutes include: equal amounts of margarine or coconut oil (solid), ¾ the amount of vegetable or olive oil, or applesauce for half the butter for added moisture. Use our Ingredient Substitution Finder for more options.
